Ken Bailey is a strategic and tactical operational leader, who earned a BA in History at Beloit College, as well as a Certificate of Intelligence Studies in Counterintelligence. He has been featured as one of InfoSec’s Rising Stars and Hidden Gems by TripWire State of Security (2013) and received the Director’s Awards for Exceptional Service and Distinguished Service (2010, 2011). Bailey has twenty years of experience deploying major programs and implementing security measures through the utilization of cyber security technology, and a successful history of creating custom network cyber security monitoring products for high-end clients in various sectors, including financial, manufacturing, energy, education and State and Local Government.

In his current role as Chief Information Security Officer and Managing Director of Public Services at Fortalice Solutions, Bailey leads the Open Source Intelligence Collection and Analysis Branch. He serves as a strategic advisor for various members of the U.S. Government, offering his expertise in security engineering, architecture and monitoring, and strategic planning and communications.

Innovative and resourceful, Bailey has developed cutting-edge technological solutions, which meet Agency standards and reduce operational costs. He has been trusted with multiple responsibilities within the White House. Most recently, he served as the Director of Cyber Security and built out threat intelligence operations, which domestically and internationally guard the Executive Office of the President (EOP). Furthermore, Bailey ensured protection to the President and First Family by designing and implementing a secure network and digital footprint. During his time as Branch Chief in the EOP, Bailey established the first 24×7 Security Operations Center for the White House and EOP networks, which provided the Chief Information Officer (CIO) with 24x7x365 security monitoring, risk assessments and daily cyber intelligence reports.

Prior to working in the Executive Office, Bailey served in the Library of Congress Congressional Research Service as Acting Chief Security Officer, provided guidance in wireless network security, intrusion response, and security operations as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, and assisted the Department of Homeland Security with OneNet (C&A) efforts.
